The City of Peoria is commissioning a $150,000 public art piece at Park West, a premier shopping and dining destination located at 9744 W. Northern Avenue. This opportunity seeks professional sculptors to create a kinetic sculpture powered by light, wind, and imagination. The commissioned artwork must be an original, site-specific piece that creates a sense of place and visual identity at Park West. Artists must use durable, low-maintenance materials suitable for Arizona's outdoor environment and incorporate sustainability features such as wind or solar-powered elements. Creative approaches using natural movement, mechanical design, or interactive components to engage visitors of all ages are encouraged. This opportunity is open to established professional artists living and eligible to work in the United States, either as single artists or artist teams. Artists will be evaluated based on their portfolio, prior public art experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a public setting. A Public Art Advisory Panel composed of Park West representatives, Peoria Arts Commissioners, arts professionals, community members, and city staff will review submissions. The selected artist will receive a $20,000 design contract, followed by a $120,000 fabrication and installation contract upon design approval.
