Call for proposals for female-identifying and gender-diverse performing artists for Femme Fest 2026, celebrating International Women's Day.

On Cue Performance Hub invites female-identifying and gender-diverse performing artists to apply for Femme Fest 2026, a three-day festival celebrating International Women's Day. Taking place March 6-8, 2026, Femme Fest showcases a wide range of creative voices and diverse artistic disciplines.

The festival welcomes proposals from artists working across multiple performance mediums, including dance, drag, film, music, theatre, spoken word poetry, stand-up comedy, storytelling, and other innovative performative practices. This is an exceptional opportunity for artists to illuminate the stage and share their creative work with an engaged audience during a festival dedicated to celebrating female and non-binary talent.

Femme Fest is an annual event that has become an important platform for diverse performers in the region. The festival is funded by Canadian Heritage and the Government of Canada, ensuring resources for quality programming and artist support.

Artists interested in performing should prepare a proposal outlining their performance concept, artistic background, and technical requirements. The application process is straightforward, with all materials and the official application form available through the On Cue Performance Hub website.

This is a fantastic opportunity for emerging and established artists to gain performance experience, build their audience, and connect with other creative professionals in a supportive, women-centered environment.
