Permanent Public Artwork in Edgewater Park

Pointe-Claire seeks professional artists to create permanent public artwork evoking nature in Edgewater Park. Deadline: March 18, 2026.

The City of Pointe-Claire is launching a call for public art projects seeking professional artist(s), arts organizations, or artists' collectives to create a permanent public artwork for Edgewater Park. The artwork should evoke nature and harmonize with the site's natural landscape while reflecting a meaningful connection to the natural environment.

The proposed artwork may draw inspiration from natural forms or patterns and can be expressed in either figurative or abstract manner. Artists are also encouraged to echo the history and unique character of the specific site in their creative approach.

This is a competitive opportunity for established professionals in the visual arts field. All interested candidates must meet the professional artist status requirements under the Act respecting the professional status of artists (RSQ, chapter S-32.01), which ensures that only qualified professionals can participate in this municipal public art initiative.

The submission deadline is Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Interested artists should review the complete guidelines and requirements before submitting their proposals. All submissions should be directed to the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre, which is managing this public art call on behalf of the city.
