Price Center Call for Art: Creative Journeys

The Price Center in San Marcos is pleased to announce an open call for art centered around the theme "Creative Journeys: Beyond Imagination." This is an excellent opportunity for local artists to showcase their work in a vibrant community space that serves as both a gallery and active community center.
The Price Center hosts multiple public open calls for art annually, welcoming all ages and artistic mediums. Since the facility doubles as a community center, submitted artwork becomes the backdrop for various events, classes, and meetings, ensuring your work is viewed by a diverse and engaged audience.
The theme "Creative Journeys: Beyond Imagination" is intentionally open-ended, allowing artists to explore multiple mediums and expressions. This flexibility encourages unique and engaging work that reflects individual artistic visions.
Submissions will be accepted during two designated time windows: Tuesday, January 6 from noon to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, January 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Artists should bring artwork ready to hang. All forms and submission fees can be completed and paid during the drop-off period, making the process straightforward and convenient.
The exhibition runs from January 10 through February 21, 2025. During this period, artists have the opportunity to sell their work directly, with a percentage of sales being returned to the gallery. This creates a potential revenue stream while gaining exposure in the community.
