PTI Call to Artists 2026
Piedmont Triad Airport Authority seeks artists for exhibition opportunities featuring 2D, 3D, and outdoor sculpture works.
The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority (PTAA) is accepting submissions for its 2026-2027 Call to Artists, inviting artists to apply for exhibition opportunities at Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI). This call welcomes two-dimensional artwork, photography, mixed media, small three-dimensional works, and large-scale outdoor sculpture.
Exhibition opportunities include multiple interior wall spaces: a 36-foot wall in the lower-level north baggage claim area, two 8-foot walls at the central escalator base, an 8-foot wall section beneath the escalator on the lower level, the Executive Center on the departure level, and additional large work locations throughout the departure level. All sites feature secure hanging systems.
Three-dimensional works can be displayed on four Plexiglas pedestals of varying sizes located in Meet & Greet areas and ticketing areas. Eight outdoor sculpture sites are available with concrete pads ranging from 4' x 7' to 15' triangular dimensions. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup, with a $2,000 stipend provided to offset transportation costs.
Artwork will be loaned for a one-year exhibition period. Selected 2D and small 3D artists receive a $100 honorarium, while outdoor sculptors receive $2,000 inclusive of delivery costs. PTAA will insure all exhibited artwork. Artwork labels include artist information, and sold pieces can be replaced with comparable works pending approval.
