Public Piano Case Decoration Project

The City of Pointe-Claire seeks professional artists to decorate a case for a public piano on the library's reading trail.

The City of Pointe-Claire is inviting professional artists, arts organizations, and artists' collectives to submit applications to decorate a case for a public piano that will be installed outdoors on the Pointe-Claire Public Library's Central reading trail. The piano will be located near Sara's Enchanted Forest Reading Garden and will be accessible to the public during the summer season.

The decoration project should be colourful and dynamic in nature. While artists have complete creative freedom in choosing their concept and theme, the artwork must be appropriate for a community public space and consistent with the location's character and purpose.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional artists to showcase their work in a highly visible public location that attracts community members throughout the summer months. The project allows for artistic expression while contributing to the cultural vibrancy of Pointe-Claire.

Eligibility: Only professional artists who meet the criteria outlined in the Act respecting the professional status of artists (RSQ, chapter S-32.01) are eligible to apply.

Applicants must submit complete applications by the deadline to be considered. Detailed requirements and application materials can be accessed through the city's official submission portal.
