R.A.C.E Arts Sustainability Initiative - Mayo & Longford
Artists in Mayo/Longford can explore circular economy practices in festivals with €125 honorarium plus €900 project grants available.
Mayo County Council and Longford County Council are inviting applications for R.A.C.E (Repaired Arts Circular Economy), a new arts sustainability initiative funded by the Environmental Protection Agency's Reuse and Repair Scheme. This innovative programme supports artists in Mayo, Longford and neighbouring areas to explore circular economy practices in festival and event contexts. The programme consists of multiple stages: introductory sessions (25 September in Mayo, 26 September in Longford), followed by workshops (6 November in Mayo, 27 November in Longford). Participants will receive a €125 training honorarium for attending these sessions. Additionally, artists may access material grants of approximately €900 for project delivery between January and June 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for artists interested in sustainability and environmental practices within the arts sector. The programme focuses specifically on festival and event contexts, making it ideal for artists who work in these areas or want to develop skills in sustainable event management and circular economy principles.
