Raise the Vibration: V-DAY 2026 Submission Call

Bread & Roses Theatre seeks monologues and spoken word pieces from women, non-binary, and gender fluid performers addressing violence and social justice.

The Bread & Roses Theatre is launching a submission call-out for 'Raise the Vibration: V-DAY 2026,' seeking monologues or spoken word pieces by women (cisgender and transgender), non-binary, or gender fluid performers and writers. This initiative replaces their annual Vagina Monologues event, aligning with vday.org's mission to foreground new voices in conversations around ending violence against women, transgender individuals, non-binary people, girls, and the planet.

Throughout V-DAY's history, activists and artists have used this platform to highlight connections between gender-based violence and broader issues including political instability, armed conflict, xenophobia, unsafe working conditions, transphobia, homophobia, and racism. Submissions can address any aspect of personal experience relating to sexual, physical, racial, economic, political, socio-cultural, ideological, and climate crisis violence.

Selected pieces will be performed as part of V-DAY 2026 on February 13th and/or 14th. This is framed as an artistic rising, and all participation is voluntary in accordance with V-DAY.org rules and guidelines. The opportunity welcomes both established and emerging voices to contribute to this vital artistic and activist platform.
