Artist Support Grants up to $2,000 for artists in any discipline. Open to residents of five Minnesota counties. Deadline: January 15.

Region 2 Arts Council is now accepting applications for Artist Support Grants, a funding opportunity designed to support artists at any stage of their career. These grants are available to artists working in any discipline, including culture bearers, musicians, writers, artisans, theater artists, woodcarvers, beading artists, dancers, jewelers, regalia makers, basket makers, poets, potters, weavers, sculptors, and filmmakers.

The grants can help support costs associated with the exhibition, performance, or production of creative work, as well as opportunities to enhance the applicant's creative development. Eligible projects include educational opportunities such as classes, demonstrations, and workshops; attendance at national conferences or culture-bearing activities; residency programs; promotion and marketing projects; and purchasing materials or equipment.

Eligible applicants must be 18 years or older and reside in one of the following Minnesota counties: Beltrami, Hubbard, Clearwater, Lake of the Woods, or Mahnomen. The maximum grant award is $2,000 per applicant.

This funding opportunity is made possible through support from the McKnight Foundation, demonstrating a commitment to supporting artistic development and creative expression in the region. Whether you're looking to develop your skills, promote your work, or undertake a new creative project, this grant program offers meaningful financial support.
