Region of Waterloo 2025 Arts Funding
$265,000 in arts funding available for individual artists, collectives, and organizations in Waterloo Region.
The Region of Waterloo is now accepting applications for its 2025 Arts Funding program, offering $265,000 to support the vibrant creative community. MT Space has been selected as the administrative partner for a three-year period to manage the application process, review submissions, and administer grant funds to local artists and arts organizations.
This funding opportunity supports individual artists, artist collectives, and arts organizations of all art forms and disciplines based in Cambridge, Kitchener, North Dumfries, Waterloo, Wellesley, Wilmot, and Woolwich. Each artistic project must be completed within 12 months and can request a maximum of $10,000 in funding.
Applications are being actively encouraged from artists across all disciplines and backgrounds. An interdisciplinary peer jury system will review all submissions, with jury representation including individuals from various art forms, diverse backgrounds, Black and racialized artists, Deaf and disability arts practitioners, emerging to established artists, and representation across age, gender, and geographic regions.
Interested applicants can attend free online information sessions hosted by MT Space on Mondays at 4 p.m. until the application deadline. These sessions provide guidance on the application process and eligibility requirements. Registration for information sessions is available at regionofwaterloo.ca/ROWArtsFunding. The funding model aims to provide support in an equitable, transparent, and efficient manner while the Region explores sustainable long-term arts funding options.
