Shawbrook 2026 Spring Creative Space Residencies
Two-week self-funded residencies for dance artists with 24-hour studio access and accommodation for up to four artists.
Shawbrook has announced its 2026 Spring Open Call for Creative Space Residencies, offering two-week self-funded residencies specifically for dance artists and companies. The program runs between March 15 and June 5, 2026, at Shawbrook in Legan, County Longford, Ireland. Each residency provides 24-hour studio access and self-catering accommodation for up to four artists, creating an ideal environment for intensive creative work. Participants can use the time to research, develop, or refine their dance projects in a supportive and focused setting. The program offers flexibility in how artists utilize their time, whether for solo exploration, collaborative development, or company work. On the final Thursday of their stay, residents have the option to present an informal sharing to a small local audience, providing an opportunity to test new work in an intimate setting. Following the residency, artists are asked to submit a short piece of digital content for use on Shawbrook's website and social media platforms. It's important to note that these are self-funded residencies with no financial support provided for travel expenses, food, or artist fees. Applications must be submitted by 12 midday GMT on Monday, October 27, 2025.
