SOLfest 2026: A Midsummer Night's Dream
Sautee Nacoochee Center seeks performers, artists, and creatives for immersive outdoor Shakespeare festival production.
The Sautee Nacoochee Center is inviting performers, artists, and creatives of all kinds to participate in SOLfest 2026, an outdoor performing arts festival that transforms the center's sprawling 8½-acre campus into a living stage. The featured production is A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespeare's classic comedy filled with romance, magic, and mischief. This immersive theater experience will unfold across the property with audiences moving from scene to scene, creating a unique theatrical adventure.
To build this production, the center is hosting an open Talent Inventory on March 7. Importantly, organizers emphasize this is not a traditional audition. Anyone willing to commit to rehearsals and performances will have a place in the show, whether performing on stage or working behind the scenes. The production welcomes performers, designers, technicians, and volunteers of all ages and experience levels.
The Talent Inventory session will be held in the Community Hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., giving participants a preview of the collaborative production process while connecting with fellow creatives. The production timeline includes a production orientation meeting on April 18, with rehearsals beginning May 5. Performances are scheduled for June 12–14 and June 19–21.
The Sautee Nacoochee Center is a member-based nonprofit serving White and Habersham counties and the broader Northeast Georgia region, located at 283 Highway 255 North.
