An exciting open call for 'somewhere i have never travelled,' a group exhibition at Behind VA Shadows in Cambridge, Massachusetts, presented in collaboration with Art + Everywhere. The exhibition is curated by Brenda Melgoza Ciardiello and Stéphanie Williams and will bring together vibrant artwork exploring the intersection of place and memory. The exhibition seeks work that engages with place as an accumulation of lived moments—a personal geography—drawing on universal themes of longing and nostalgia. Artists are invited to interrogate the impulse to preserve a moment in time, whether real or imagined, as an act of self-definition and connection. The exhibition runs from July 12 to September 12, 2026, at Behind VA Shadows, 2 Linden Street, Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA, USA. This is a free and open call for all members of the Art + Everywhere community as well as any artist whose work fits the exhibition's theme. All mediums are welcome, including performance and installation, provided they fit within the spatial limitations of the venue. Artists are responsible for all shipping and return costs for their work. The deadline to submit is March 31, 2026.
