Spruill Studios Artist Residency in Chamblee

The Spruill Center for the Arts is launching Spruill Studios, an exciting new opportunity for metro Atlanta artists. The facility will convert Chamblee's historic former city hall building into affordable creative workspace, addressing a clear need identified by stakeholders for accessible studio space in the Perimeter area.
The new facility will feature 15 artist studios ranging from 100 to 200 square feet, providing flexible space options for working artists. In addition to the studio spaces, the facility will include public gallery space dedicated to showcasing the work of resident artists, creating opportunities for community engagement and art appreciation.
Renovations of the historic Peachtree Road location are scheduled to begin in March 2026, with the studios opening in June 2026. Artist applications will open on March 9, 2026, so interested artists should prepare their materials during this period.
Spruill Studios plans to host open studio tours during major Chamblee events, including the annual Chalk Walk, providing resident artists with enhanced public visibility and community engagement opportunities. This partnership between the Spruill Center for the Arts and the City of Chamblee represents a significant commitment to supporting the local creative community.
The Spruill Center for the Arts has a strong track record of supporting artists and arts education in the metro Atlanta area.
