St. Mary's City Sticker Design Contest
Historic St. Mary's City is seeking original sticker designs from artists and designers. Winners receive museum membership and prizes.
Historic St. Mary's City (HSMC), a living history museum and archaeology site, is launching a sticker design contest to discover creative community talent for their new sticker design. This is an excellent opportunity for artists, designers, doodlers, and dreamers to contribute to the museum's visual identity while competing for attractive prizes.
The contest theme centers on the museum itself, with designs open to interpretation as long as they clearly connect to HSMC and include the museum's name or logo. Inspiration sources include historic landmarks on the property such as the Brick Chapel, State House, or St. Mary's Fort; 17th-century visuals depicting crafts, farming, or cooking; wildlife commonly seen at HSMC including deer and osprey; or farm animals popular with visitors like cows, chickens, and pigs.
The winning designer will receive a couple's membership to HSMC, a prize basket, and a social media shoutout when the design is announced.
Designs must adhere to specific technical requirements: 3" x 3" size, circular, oval, square, rectangular, or die-cut shape, any file format with vector preferred (.ai, .eps, or .svg), 300 dpi or higher resolution, and keep important elements at least 0.125 inch from the edge.
All submissions must be original artwork created by the submitter. AI-generated submissions are not permitted. Designs cannot include copyrighted characters or imagery and must be appropriate for all ages.
