Summer Music Festival Artwork Design Partnership
Yucca Valley seeks local artists to design Summer Music Fest artwork. Selected design wins $500 stipend and featured on banners and merchandise.
The Town of Yucca Valley is seeking to partner with local artists to create the official artwork design for this year's Summer Music Festival. This is an exciting opportunity for artists to have their work prominently displayed and reproduced across multiple platforms throughout the six-concert series.
The selected design will be displayed on large banners installed next to the concert stage and reproduced on official festival T-shirts and other merchandise. Given the large-scale display and viewing distance, artists are strongly encouraged to utilize bold, high-impact imagery and clear composition that will be visually striking and memorable.
All submissions must meet specific requirements: original artwork only, inclusion of all materials required in the application packet, and suitability for viewing by all ages and community segments. This ensures the artwork represents the inclusive spirit of the community.
Individuals or teams of artists from Yucca Valley and surrounding communities are invited to participate. Youth and student artists in seventh grade and older are particularly encouraged to apply, making this an excellent opportunity for emerging artists to gain exposure and experience.
The selected artist will receive a $500 stipend as compensation for their creative work. Artists are required to provide a detailed explanation of their artistic vision for this installation as part of their submission.
To apply, artists can submit their work online through the town's public art portal. The application deadline is March 10, so interested artists should prepare their submissions promptly. For questions or additional information about the application process and requirements, artists can contact Recreation Supervisor Clayton Rardon directly.
