The Taos art scene offers numerous exhibition opportunities and community events for artists and art enthusiasts. Current exhibitions include 'A New View' by Don Brackett and PJ Garoutte at Wilder Nightingale Fine Art, exploring abstract and contemporary forms through October 29. The Taos Center for the Arts presents 'Patrimonio Quemando - Living in Relationship with Wildfire' by Jeff Baker and Joshua Berman through November 16. The Harwood Museum features 'Pursuit of Happiness: G.I. Bill in Taos,' showcasing post-World War II artists who created a new wave of abstraction in Taos, running through May 2026. Additional opportunities include monthly First Fridays at The Harwood with pay-what-you-wish admission, SOMOS writing workshops for fiction and creative nonfiction writers, and the Craft Circle community art-making sessions.
