The Great Wall of Honesdale 2026 Art Exhibition

Submit artwork for large-scale public display. 12 panels showcase selected artists' work to 5+ million annual viewers.

The Great Wall of Honesdale (GWH) is a prestigious public art project by Wayne County Arts Alliance (WCAA) offering high-visibility opportunities for artists worldwide. Selected artwork is reproduced as 11 x 17 foot vinyl panels and displayed on a prominent location in Northeast Pennsylvania that receives over 5 million vehicle passes annually.

The 2026 exhibition theme is "American Perspective," celebrating America250. Artists are invited to explore perspective both as an artistic technique and conceptually, examining America's 250th milestone through historic, current, and future lenses.

Twelve panels will be unveiled in June 2026. Selected artists receive free reproduction, printing, and display services. Artwork is also featured permanently on the GWH website with links to artist portfolios and social media.

Submissions must be horizontal format (wider than high) with strong graphic appeal for distance viewing. Up to 3 JPEG images can be submitted (minimum 1,200 pixels on longest side, 5MB max). Selected artists must provide high-resolution TIFF files (minimum 300 dpi, 5,000 pixels on longest side) within two weeks of notification.

One of twelve panels is reserved annually for a primary education student. Previous winners from 2023-2025 are ineligible. Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 submissions. Artists retain their completed vinyl panels free of charge (shipping not included) or WCAA retains unclaimed panels.
