The Hopper Prize offers unrestricted financial support to visual artists and photographers through biannual grant cycles. For Fall 2025, they're awarding $13,000 total: two artists will receive $4,500 each, and four artists will receive $1,000 each. The program aims to advance artists' careers by providing financial support coupled with increased visibility platforms. All grant awards are unrestricted and can be used however recipients choose. Beyond monetary awards, 30 artists will have their work archived at hopperprize.org, with select submissions featured on their Instagram (@hopperprize) reaching over 150,000 followers. Winners and shortlisted artists receive additional exposure through their online Journal 'Insights Into Contemporary Art,' which provides interview opportunities and in-depth features. The program is open to all artists 18 and older working in any media, with no restrictions on genre, subject matter, or geographic location. They actively support artists from diverse cultural backgrounds at all career stages. Past winners span globally from emerging to established artists across various media. The application process is streamlined to be completed in under 20 minutes, requiring only basic information, up to 10 image/video attachments, artwork captions, and optional artist statement. The $40 submission fee supports the program's operations and prize distribution.
