'The Road' CBS Singing Competition - Country Artists
CBS singing competition featuring 12 country artists competing for $250K cash prize and recording contract with performances at real concerts.
The Road is a new CBS singing competition premiering October 19, created by Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan. This unique show features 12 country artists competing in a real-world touring environment, opening for Keith Urban during actual concert performances filmed earlier this year. The competition offers substantial prizes for winners: the grand prize winner receives $250,000 cash, a recording contract with Country Road Records (a division of 101 Studios in partnership with Thirty Tigers), and a performance slot on the Mane Stage at Stagecoach Country Music Festival 2026. Additionally, Red Bull provides an exclusive prize pack including the opportunity to perform at Red Bull Jukebox. Second and third place finalists also receive valuable prizes - five recording sessions at Red Bull Studio Los Angeles, a state-of-the-art facility with full instrumentation and cutting-edge equipment. The show format provides contestants with real touring experience under guidance from Keith Urban, tour manager Gretchen Wilson, and other country music stars. Audience members at the actual concerts rate performances to determine advancement. This competition offers genuine industry exposure and behind-the-scenes access to the music business, giving artists authentic experience of touring musician life while competing for significant career-launching prizes.
