Through A Window Art Show - March Call for Art
Crossroads Arts Council invites artists to submit original work inspired by 'Through A Window' theme. Cash prizes awarded. All mediums welcome.
The Crossroads Arts Council is hosting its March Call for Art, inviting artists to submit original pieces inspired by the theme 'Through A Window.' This theme encourages artistic interpretation of windows as literal or metaphorical concepts—places of looking in or out, boundaries, frames, or moments of connection. Artists are encouraged to explore how windows might suggest distance, intimacy, longing, observations, reflection, or transition in their work.
All artistic mediums are welcome for submission, providing flexibility for painters, photographers, sculptors, digital artists, and other creative professionals. Cash prizes will be awarded to selected pieces, recognizing outstanding work within the exhibition.
The exhibition timeline includes:
- Drop-off period: February 2-24 (1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.)
- Artist Reception & Awards: March 1 (2-4 p.m.)
- Public viewing: Throughout March at the Crossroads Art Center
- Pick-up period: March 24 (1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.)
The Crossroads Art Center is located at 310 W Pearce Boulevard and is open Sundays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., during March for viewing the 'Through a Window' collection.
This is an excellent opportunity for artists to gain exhibition experience, win cash recognition, and participate in a community-focused arts event. The open-ended theme allows for diverse interpretations and creative expression across all artistic disciplines.
