Toys and Joys Exhibition - Open Call for Artists

Transylvania Community Arts Council seeks artists of all ages for upcoming exhibition themed around toys, joys, and western North Carolina imagery.

The Transylvania Community Arts Council has announced an open call for artists to participate in its upcoming exhibition titled "Toys and Joys." The exhibition will run from Friday, November 14 through Saturday, December 20, 2025. This opportunity welcomes artists of all ages and skill levels working in any visual art medium.

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly. The exhibition accepts depictions of actual toys and toy images, as well as imagery celebrating the joys associated with living in western North Carolina, including waterfalls, mountains, music, and other regional elements.

All forms of visual art are accepted, including but not limited to: painting, drawing, photography, graphics, printmaking, digital art, sculpture, ceramics, wood, jewelry, fiber, glass, and clay.

Registration Details:
- Registration fee: $10 per piece of artwork (maximum of four pieces per artist)
- Registration fee is waived for current Arts Council members at the $100 membership level or higher
- All artwork and registration forms must be delivered to the Arts Council Gallery between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11

Gallery Hours During Exhibition:
- Tuesday to Thursday: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Friday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
