Two-week immersion for EU mid-career musicians to collaborate with U.S. artists and gain industry insights in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
The Transatlantic Rising Stars Music Program is a prestigious two-week immersion opportunity for mid-career EU songwriters and performers (May-June 2026). Selected artists will collaborate with U.S. musicians, write and perform new work together, and gain direct insight into the American music ecosystem. The program begins in Philadelphia in partnership with the Philadelphia Music Alliance, featuring collaborative songwriting workshops, mentorship, studio sessions, and networking with producers and music business professionals. Participants receive training on legal frameworks, rights management, touring, and other industry essentials. The program includes performances and community engagements across Philadelphia, where newly created work is shared with local audiences through partnerships with venues, schools, and cultural organizations. Educational visits, industry conversations, and structured networking provide clear understanding of the American music landscape. The program culminates in Washington, D.C., where participants join fellow Transatlantic Stars from visual arts and film programs for a public summit. All selected artists receive international and domestic travel, visa assistance, accommodation, and meals. This opportunity is open to EU citizens with valid EU passports who are working songwriters or performers with demonstrated artistic achievement and released original music recognized through festivals, showcases, touring, awards, or industry support.
