Village of Warwick Artist in Residence Program

One-year residency with $4,000 stipend. Engage community through artist talk, workshop, and exhibition.

The Village of Warwick is seeking candidates for its Artist in Residence (AIR) program. This prestigious opportunity allows local artists to make meaningful contributions to their community while advancing their careers.

Program Overview:
The Artist in Residence program aims to expose the community to the work of local artists, create opportunities for artists to engage with the community and build their careers and connections, and demonstrate the Village of Warwick's commitment to supporting artists' contributions to community life.

Term and Responsibilities:
The selected artist will serve a one-year term during which they will engage with the community through three key activities:
- A public artist talk showcasing their work and artistic practice
- A hands-on workshop related to their artistic discipline
- A public showcase or exhibition of their work

Compensation:
The selected Artist in Residence will receive a $4,000 stipend for their year of service. Additionally, the artist will be supported by Wickham Works in developing and planning the three community engagement activities and events.

Eligibility:
Artists must be 18 years of age or older and must reside in the Town of Warwick, including its three villages: Florida, Greenwood Lake, and Warwick.
