Winter's Garden Juried Exhibition Call for Entries

Artists of all backgrounds invited to submit work interpreting 'Winter's Garden' theme at Riverfront Arts Center's annual juried exhibition.

The Riverfront Arts Center in Stevens Point, Wisconsin announces its annual call for entries for Winter's Garden, a juried exhibition celebrating the beauty of the winter season. This inclusive opportunity welcomes artists of all backgrounds and skill levels to share their creative interpretation of the Winter's Garden theme.

The exhibition is open to all media, providing flexibility for artists working in various disciplines. A unique aspect of this show is that both live and dried botanical arrangements are welcome as submissions, making it an excellent opportunity for floral artists and those working with natural materials alongside traditional visual artists.

This year's exhibition will be juried by local artist Nancy Shefferly, who will curate the show and provide valuable feedback and critique to participating artists. This professional development component adds significant value to the opportunity, as artists will receive direct insights from an experienced curator.

The exhibition will open with a reception on Friday, January 16, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., providing artists with networking opportunities and a chance to celebrate with the community. The show will remain on display through Sunday, February 22, giving extended exposure for accepted works.

The Riverfront Arts Center is located at 1200 Crosby Ave. in downtown Stevens Point and is open to the public free of charge, though donations are welcome. Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This community-focused venue offers artists the opportunity to showcase their work in a welcoming, accessible space.
