Women in Art Group Exhibition

73 Berkshire County women artists showcase work across all media at Lichtenstein Center for the Arts in Pittsfield.

Women in Art is a group exhibition featuring 73 women artists from Berkshire County, celebrating the creativity, perspectives, and voices of women working across all artistic media. The exhibition showcases the diversity of women's artistic practices—from bold to subtle, experimental to traditional—including paintings, sculpture, photography, mixed media, digital art, fiber work, and more.

The artists were selected through a call for art issued by the Pittsfield Office of Cultural Development in early 2026. The call was open to all women artists, including cisgender and transgender women. The response was overwhelming, with hundreds of pieces submitted from across Berkshire County. The final exhibition features both emerging and established artists, demonstrating the rich talent within the Berkshires art community.

According to Jen Glockner, Pittsfield's Cultural Development Director: "The response to this call was overwhelming, it's quite obvious that women are looking for something to celebrate. Art is powerful. Women are powerful. This exhibition celebrates that."

The Women in Art exhibition opens on International Women's Day, Sunday, March 8, 2026, with a reception from 11am-1pm at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts in Pittsfield. The exhibition runs through March 27, 2026. The gallery is open Wednesday-Friday from 11am-3pm or by appointment.
