YEAST | Residenze Lievito - Artistic Residency
Six-month artistic residency in Tuscany for 10 emerging artists and curators under 36, with stipend, housing, and studio space.
YEAST | Residenze Lievito is an artistic residency program conceived by La CAP Re|Hub and IPERCUBO, located at Podere La capacciola, a renovated former peasant farm in Valdichiana Senese, Tuscany. The program is designed around the metaphor of yeast fermentation—a slow, transformative process that mirrors artistic creation.
The residency selects 10 residents per cycle (8 artists and 2 curators) under 36 years old, distributed across two six-month cycles. Participants work and live together on the farm, with no separation between research and daily life. The program welcomes artists working in visual, performative, choreographic, and audio-video arts, with a focus on bodies, images, and narratives in movement.
Each cycle features a formative program including workshops, lessons, visits, curatorial tutoring, and territorial guidance. Residents receive a monthly grant of 500 euros, free accommodation, equipped studio space, and a production budget. The first cycle centers on "Rethinking the aia" (exploring historical gathering spaces), while the second focuses on "Making good" (contemporary reclamation inspired by 1338 Valdichiana history).
Each residency concludes with a final exhibition: December 2026 for the first cycle, July 2027 for the second. The call for the first cycle opens March 3, 2026, with a deadline of April 30, 2026. Residents arrive July 11, 2026.
