LIMF Academy and Ivors Academy Trust seek 12 female songwriters, composers, musicians and producers in Liverpool City Region for collaborative project.
YES WE ARE! is an exciting collaborative project presented by LIMF Academy in partnership with the Ivors Academy Trust, designed to support and develop female talent in music. The project will select 12 female songwriters, composers, musicians and producers based in the Liverpool City Region to participate in a comprehensive professional development programme.
Participants will engage in guided collaborative song creation sessions and professional recording sessions at Kempston Street Studios in Liverpool. This hands-on experience will allow artists to develop their craft, collaborate with peers, and create high-quality recordings under professional guidance.
Beyond the local recording sessions, selected participants will be invited to attend a bespoke industry day in London in February 2026. This exclusive event provides networking opportunities with industry professionals and potential collaborators. The project goes further by offering some participants the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Kindred Showcase, held at the Southbank Centre in London later in February 2026.
This is an outstanding opportunity for female music creators in the Liverpool City Region to gain professional experience, build their portfolio, expand their network, and potentially perform on a major London stage. The combination of hands-on creative sessions, industry exposure, and performance opportunities makes this a comprehensive professional development programme.
