Youth Art Month 2026 Exhibition
Young artists 18 and under in Southern Maryland can showcase their work in a professional gallery setting during Youth Art Month in March 2026.
Youth Art Month 2026 is an annual celebration of young talent and arts education organized by the St. Mary's County Arts Council. This prestigious event gives student artists the opportunity to display their creativity on professional gallery walls, boosting confidence and encouraging self-expression among young creatives.
The exhibition is open to all artists age 18 and under who reside in St. Mary's, Calvert, or Charles counties in Southern Maryland. This inclusive opportunity aims to highlight the importance of visual arts in schools and demonstrate the critical role of arts education in student development.
Participating artists will have their work professionally exhibited and can engage directly with the local arts community. The event takes place each March and serves as a platform for young artists to share their unique perspectives and gain valuable exposure for their artwork.
Submitted artwork must adhere to specific exhibition guidelines, including size limitations and family-friendly content requirements. Following the close of the exhibition in early April, students will be notified when their artwork is ready for pickup.
The St. Mary's County Arts Council, which hosts this annual event, collaborates with educators, volunteers, and community partners to ensure young artists throughout Southern Maryland have meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and be recognized for their artistic achievements. This initiative reinforces the value of arts education while providing a supportive platform for emerging young talent.
