About
Agnaldo Farias is a Brazilian art critic and curator born in 1955. He is a professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo, where he earned his doctorate, and serves as head curator of the Museu Oscar Niemeyer in Curitiba. He co-curated the 29th Bienal de São Paulo in 2010 with Moacir dos Anjos, organized the Brazilian representation at the 25th Bienal in 2002, and was previously chief curator of the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro. He has written monographs on Brazilian artists including Amelia Toledo and Henrique Oliveira.
