About

Alan Ket is a graffiti artist, author, and historian who co-founded the Museum of Graffiti in Miami's Wynwood Art District in December 2019, where he serves as curator. He began writing graffiti as a teenager in Brooklyn during the 1980s and has spent decades documenting the movement, authoring titles including The Wide World of Graffiti. As the museum's curator he has organized exhibitions such as Origins, JonOne's solo show El Tiguere, and The Art of Futbol presented by Modelo, working with artists including JonOne, PHASE2, ABSTRK, and ATOMIK. Earlier in his career he founded the hip-hop magazine Stress and has curated graffiti and street art exhibitions at institutions including Fondation Cartier in Paris and MOCA in Los Angeles.
