About
Carla Acevedo-Yates is a curator born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, known for her expertise in Caribbean and Latin American art. She served as the Marilyn and Larry Fields Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, where she organized exhibitions including Forecast Form: Art in the Caribbean Diaspora 1990s-Today and Entre Horizontes: Art and Activism Between Chicago and Puerto Rico. She previously was associate curator at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University and holds an MA in curatorial studies from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College.
