Matthew Affron

Matthew Affron is the Muriel and Philip Berman Curator of Modern Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a position he has held since 2013. He is a specialist in early abstract art and the work of Fernand Leger, and has organized exhibitions including The Essential Duchamp and Dreamworld: Surrealism at 100. He earned his PhD in art history from Yale University and previously taught at the University of Virginia.
