About This Event
Three Utah artists open new exhibits together at the Park City Library with a free public reception. Heber City interdisciplinary artist Mara Powell debuts 'Backyard Fables: Adventures Across Utah,' a series of pen, ink, and watercolor works that place anthropomorphic Utah wildlife into the state's wild landscapes, from prairie dogs lead-climbing Delicate Arch to woodland scenes drawn in a storybook key inspired by Jan Brett and Jill Barklem's 'Brambly Hedge.' It is Powell's first public exhibition. She is joined by Anna Nizhoni, opening 'Running From One Falling Star to Another,' and Elissa Sabbo, opening 'Camanchaca: An Exploration of Landscape, Memory, and Intuition.' The artists will be present to discuss their work. The exhibits are on view on the library's first floor.
