Iron Horse Art Gallery Grand Opening and Artist Reception

The Iron Horse Arts District opens the Iron Horse Art Gallery with a ribbon cutting and artist reception on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. The new gallery, located in the basement of the First State Bank of Holdrege at 401 East Avenue, gives downtown Holdrege a dedicated space for rotating fine art exhibits highlighting local and regional artists throughout the year. Opening night doubles as a reception for the gallery's inaugural show featuring Christy Kosmicki, a former Holdrege High School art educator known for her wide-ranging body of work. Guests can meet Kosmicki, explore her artwork, and learn about the Iron Horse Arts District. Both the ribbon cutting, held in partnership with the Holdrege Area Chamber of Commerce, and the reception are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
