About the Exhibition
The 2026 OVAC Members Show fills the Tulsa World Lorton Family Gallery at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum in Oklahoma City with work by more than 50 Oklahoma artists, on view from June 2 through August 1, 2026. Presented for the third year through a partnership between the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC), the show gathers 66 pieces in both two and three dimensions across a wide range of styles, techniques, and influences from emerging and established artists alike. The exhibition includes 59 artists representing 22 towns and cities across the state, with works that capture whimsical narratives, cultural identities, and natural beauty. A free opening reception runs 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Thursday, June 4, with the chance to tour the gallery and meet many of the participating artists. Later in the summer, on Saturday, July 11, the museum hosts an exhibition panel and the OVAC awards from 10 to 11:30 am. OVAC executive director Rebecca Kinslow describes shows like the Members Show as vital for creating opportunities for artists across Oklahoma to share their perspectives, expand their visibility, and connect with new audiences. The annual exhibition highlights the role visual art plays in building connection across Oklahoma communities.
