Creative Voices: Celebrating AIHOM & The Arc of Marion Artists
About the Exhibition
Creative Voices: Celebrating AIHOM and The Arc of Marion Artists is on view June 17 through December 17, 2026, at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place in Ocala, Florida, presented by the city of Ocala Cultural Arts Division through the Art in City Spaces program. The exhibit features artwork created by adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who take part in visual art workshops led by Arts in Health Ocala Metro at The Arc of Marion. Arts in Health Ocala Metro is a nonprofit offering music, dance, performing, and visual arts programming led by local artists, and The Arc of Marion has supported individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1959. The work reflects the individuality and lived experiences of the artists while challenging traditional ideas of who is recognized as an artist. A free opening reception runs from 11 a.m. to noon on June 17.
