Horse Power
About the Exhibition
'Horse Power' is a group exhibition at Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs, New York, showcasing the work of 57 artists from across New York State. The show celebrates the strength, intelligence and beauty of horses and related species, with art exploring horsemanship, horse breeds, wild horse advocacy and the deep bond between humans and horses, as well as works reflecting on mechanical horsepower and the horse in modern life. Visitors can view a wide range of mediums, from bronze sculptures and a life-size 3D glass mosaic foal to paintings in acrylic, watercolor and oil, alongside student artwork. 'Horse Power' is one of four exhibitions opening together at the gallery. The Window Front Gallery presents a textural installation by Jappie King Black of Brockport, the Stairwell Gallery features framed collage works by Beverly Amborski of Williamsville, and the Emerging Artist Gallery highlights paintings by Mikayla Guck, a recent graduate of Nazareth College. All four exhibitions are free and open to the public through July 15.
