Inroads to Opportunities Artists
About the Exhibition
The Commissioners Gallery in Elizabeth, New Jersey presents a new collection of artwork created by students from Inroads to Opportunities, on display through July 31, 2026 on the sixth floor of the Union County Administration Building. Admission is free during gallery hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Inroads to Opportunities is a not-for-profit that helps individuals with disabilities develop skills and become employable, and its art program, started in 2003, gives participants a creative and therapeutic outlet. The works on view range across acrylic, watercolor, crayon, pastel, pen and pencil. The exhibition is supported by a HEART Grant (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) from the Union County Board of County Commissioners and is coordinated by the Union County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs, part of the Department of Parks and Recreation.
