Littoral Zone: Margins of Light
About the Exhibition
Working Loose in Blue Hill, Maine partners with Los Angeles gallery La Loma to present 'Littoral Zone: Margins of Light,' a group exhibition on view June 27 through September 12. The exhibition takes its name from the littoral zone itself, the sunlit edge of a body of water where light reaches the bottom and life gathers. An artist reception will be held July 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. The show launches as Working Loose celebrates its second anniversary and the start of its third summer season as a cultural gathering place for artists, musicians and creative entrepreneurs. As part of the exhibition, artists will gather for a residency week at the Stephen Pace House in Stonington, operated by Maine College of Art & Design, creating opportunities for plein-air painting, artist exchanges and community programming.
