About the Exhibition
'Living in Layers,' an exhibition by artist Debbie Likley Pacheco, opens in the Mallory/Wurtzburger Galleries at the Dixon Gallery & Gardens in Memphis on June 14 and runs through September 27. A Meet the Artist reception will be held at the Dixon on Thursday, June 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Pacheco builds her work through a distinctive process that combines digital photography and image manipulation with painting and wax. A former commercial art director before becoming a full-time creative artist, she discussed her layered approach in conversation with Darel Snodgrass for WKNO's 'Checking on the Arts.'
