Nicolas Party: Toile d'araignee

Nicolas Party's fourth exhibition with Xavier Hufkens presents five thematic groups of pastels exploring states of transition. The opening works draw on Georges Rodenbach's Bruges-la-Morte, with water playing a central, transformational role as shapes dissolve and become amorphous. Further groups include double portraits, dead fish compositions, spider webs at daybreak, and tree landscapes, all investigating the relationship between appearance and disappearance.
