Press Play is a group exhibition at Waterfall Arts in Belfast, Maine, featuring artists Tara Morin, Tori Marsh, and Tom Jessen, on view June 26 through August 29, 2026. Program Director Amy Tingle describes the show as an invitation for audiences to rediscover the magic of play, with the three artists encouraging visitors to reconnect with curiosity and wonder as tools for navigating contemporary life. Tom Jessen uses chance operations such as rolling dice to guide color and composition, exploring agency and unpredictability in artistic creation. Tori Marsh contributes her signature cartoon-inspired animal figures alongside new work in sewing and textiles, made in the spirit of letting down her guard to experiment. Tara Morin frames the title itself as a verb rather than a noun, an invitation to begin, engage, and participate. The exhibition extends beyond the gallery with a season of classes, workshops, and community events, including the inaugural ART Parade on August 15, a procession of handmade paper lanterns and puppets from the Waterfall Arts lawn to the footbridge.
