Soccer: The Passion for the World Cup
About the Exhibition
The Arlington Museum of Art hosts 'Soccer: The Passion for the World Cup,' tracing more than a century of soccer history as North Texas prepares to welcome the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Arlington is the only North American stop for the international exhibition during the tournament, and the show runs now through August 2, 2026. Developed for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and expanded for this year's tournament, the exhibition features artifacts and memorabilia from collections in Italy, including the Museo del Calcio Internazionale in Rome. Visitors can explore historic uniforms, vintage soccer balls, original photographs, posters and memorabilia tied to the sport's most iconic players and moments, alongside immersive installations and video displays highlighting memorable matches from both men's and women's soccer. The exhibit arrives as North Texas prepares to host nine World Cup matches, including games at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
