Toile d'araignée

Xavier Hufkens presents Toile d'araignée (spider web), Nicolas Party's fourth exhibition with the gallery, at its St-Georges space in Brussels from May 21 through July 25, 2026. Party presents five distinct groups of works, each occupying a specific spatial and conceptual position within the galleries. The opening gallery features an unprecedented ensemble of pastels based on images from the Belgian poet and novelist Georges Rodenbach's Bruges-la-Morte (1892), a key Symbolist novel notable for incorporating photographs into the text.
