William Kentridge: The Battle Between YES and NO

About the Exhibition
The Battle Between YES and NO is the first major exhibition in Czechia dedicated to William Kentridge, one of the most celebrated artists of our time. Raised in Johannesburg during apartheid, Kentridge's artistic practice reflects South Africa's social and historical tensions while speaking to universal human themes. The exhibition traces his path from early charcoal films to recent multidisciplinary projects, featuring works from the Drawings for Projection series, theatrical installations, and video works addressing themes of exile, language, and desire. The exhibition is designed as a spatial collage following Kentridge's belief in complexity as an antidote to rigid certainty.
