Erie County Arts in Public Places Program
Erie County invites artists to create public art installations for $75,000 commissions at two prominent locations.
Erie County is announcing calls for artists through its Arts in Public Places program, seeking public art commissions to be installed at the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens and Isle View Park in Tonawanda. This is an excellent opportunity for emerging and established artists to gain significant visibility and recognition. Each selected artist will receive funding of up to $75,000 to complete their public art project. This opportunity is specifically designed for artists residing in Erie County who have not been previously selected to complete an Art in Public Places public art project. All completed works will be prominently displayed in these high-traffic locations, providing substantial visibility and engagement with diverse audiences from across the region. The program aims to enhance public spaces through artistic expression while supporting the local arts community. Artists are encouraged to review the full project requirements and selection criteria before applying. A virtual information session will be held to address questions and provide detailed guidance on the application process.
