Hammond Fine & Functional Holiday Exhibition

The Hammond Regional Arts Center is accepting submissions for its 17th annual Fine & Functional Exhibition, a holiday marketplace featuring original artwork and handcrafted goods from artists and artisans across the region. Scheduled for November 13 through December 17, 2026, the exhibition turns the HRAC gallery in downtown Hammond, Louisiana into a seasonal shopping destination where visitors can buy locally made work in time for the holidays.

Artists may submit up to five original works for consideration. Eligible media include ceramics, pottery, woodworking, glasswork, jewelry, fiber art, wearable art, paintings, drawings, mixed media, and other two- or three-dimensional creations. Unlike traditional art markets, participating artists are not required to staff a booth or be present during gallery hours; HRAC manages all sales transactions, allowing artists to benefit from professional exhibition space and holiday foot traffic while focusing on their work.

Executive Director Melissa Griffin says the exhibition supports artists economically while encouraging the community to invest in local creativity during the busiest shopping season of the year. The submission deadline is Monday, August 3, 2026, with artist notifications scheduled for September 7, 2026. Accepted artwork is exhibited at the Hammond Regional Arts Center throughout the holiday season and offered for sale to the public.
