Salón ACME 2026: Art Fair for Emerging Creatives

Mexico City's Salón ACME spotlights emerging artists across six sections. Annual art fair welcomes 224+ participants and 1,800+ applications.

Salón ACME is Mexico City's premier art fair dedicated to emerging creatives, now in its 13th year. Taking place annually in February as part of Mexico City Art Week, the fair has cemented itself as a unique platform fostering new audiences and connecting artists with collectors. In 2026, the fair featured 224 participants across multiple sections, demonstrating its commitment to supporting diverse artistic voices in an often ruthless art market.

The fair's success stems from its distinctive six-section structure, each designed to accommodate artists working in different media and at various career stages:

1. Open Call: The largest section receiving over 1,800 applications, presenting work from 82 selected artists
2. Bodega: Showcases seven Mexico-based artists in curated exhibitions
3. State: Dedicated to art production in specific Mexican states, featuring 15 artists from Puebla in 2026
4. Projects: Features 26 artistic endeavors committed to sustainability, from local and international creatives
5. Patio: Welcomes large-scale installations in the venue's courtyard, a historic 1905 house
6. Sala: Additional exhibition space for diverse artistic presentations

The Patio section exemplifies the fair's commitment to bold creativity, featuring works like Enrique López Llamas' conceptual self-portrait 'I Am the Resurrection and I Am the Life,' comprised of 28 floating pieces.

Salón ACME extends beyond Mexico City, actively expanding the art scene by dedicating sections to different Mexican states, ensuring opportunities for artists nationwide. The fair positions itself as a beacon of authenticity and support, providing emerging artists with crucial exposure and collector connections.
