About
Centro Cultural Montehermoso is a municipal cultural center in Vitoria-Gasteiz, capital of the Basque province of Alava in northern Spain. It hosts contemporary art exhibitions, including its Sala Jovellanos galleries, as well as public programs and projects developed with local institutions. Through partnerships such as the agreement between the Vitoria-Gasteiz city government and the Fine Arts faculty of the University of the Basque Country (EHU), the center supports the dissemination of new artistic projects and gives emerging artists space and tools to develop their professional practice.
Current Exhibitions
Cristina Souto's solo show Mirar el agua, using water to reflect on memory, narrative, and identity, opens June 19 at Centro Cultural Montehermoso in Vitoria-Gasteiz and runs through July 19, 2026.
